And just like that, another lockdown has come to an end. Like many, I haven’t enjoyed this one much. Even as a regional Victorian I felt this one more than I was anticipating. The reality that we’re not out of the woods yet has been hard to accept… In fact, when lockdown started Marcus and I were on a little break in northern NSW after celebrating the wedding of some dear friends of ours on the Gold Coast. After these past 18 months it was soooo lovely to be able to explore beyond our own region. You can probably tell from the lack of long-form reading recommendations below that I quite enjoyed a little time in holiday mode. This extended period of being stuck in one place (which doesn’t tend to sit comfortably with me) has helped me to really understand the phrase “bloom where you’re planted”. I’m still trying to find good stuff all around me, and to focus on the positives, even during trying times. And really that’s the whole function of this little digest - so I hope you get a little bit of joy from receiving it! A quick and shameless plug for our second delivery from Rogers Lane.
